Community Rebirth One is dedicated to addressing homelessness and mental health challenges among the vulnerable population in Oakland, CA, striving to provide support, resources, and hope for those in need.

Kenzie Smith and Jun shared a common desire to uplift their community in Oakland, ensuring that the voices of those often overlooked were finally heard and valued. With a foundation of compassion, love, and unity, they embarked on a mission to restore the sense of belonging and strength in the community they deeply cared for. Their commitment to helping others and fostering growth resonated with their shared vision of a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

After Jun’s passing, Kenzie experienced profound loss and struggled with feelings of confusion and disorientation. Losing his closest friend, who had been a source of motivation and encouragement, left him grappling with depression and anxiety, prompting him to take a break to focus on his mental health. Determined to honor Jun’s memory, Kenzie sought solace in the idea that Jun’s spirit would continue to guide their community through positive actions. Despite the pain of their loss, Kenzie aimed to inspire others to see beyond their suffering and find hope, believing that Jun’s presence would always be felt, guiding them forward.
